Web Resources for Research

There are sites on the web that will help students find academic resources for their research projects. I have provided short descriptions and links to four of my favorites below.

Google for Educators

Google Custom Search Engine is a research tool where students select the websites they want to search. http://www.google.com/educators/p_cse.html

Educational ResourcesInformation Center

Hosted by the Department of Education, the Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) is a great tool for academic research. ERIC provides access to journal articles, books, and more. http://www.eric.ed.gov/

Federal Resources for Academic Excellence

The U.S. Federal Government created this site to provide free resources for Academic Excellence. Included on this site are primary documents, resources for world studies, the Arts, and U.S. History.  http://www.free.ed.gov/

Intute

Intute is a free search engine that finds academic sites evaluated by librarians and other professionals. The site also includes tutorials that will build research skills. http://www.intute.ac.uk/
